Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: Purple Orange provides a slightly dizzying initial effect, quickly transitioning into a relaxing body, great for daytime or nighttime use. This strain isn't going to knock you out, but it's got enough liveliness to medicate you for quite some time.
DJ Short's Blueberry was crossed with Orange Dream. A carefully selected male out of that crossing was then used to pollinate an unknown ruderalis variety that showed great trichome production and vigor. The result is a strain which is highly unique in the sense that there is almost zero purple apparent on the outside, but once the nugs are broken apart, lively, vibrant streaks of deep purple emanate their radiance from the inside. A favored strain for the palate (like most Dizzy Duck strains), Purple Orange also boasts incredible potency that is suitable for use during any time of the day. The breeder had this lab tested for THC, with results ranging between 14% and 16%. Needless to say, that is definitely decent bud. Nothing to knock one's socks off, but very good nonetheless.
One thing growers should take pleasure in is the nonexistent vegetation period for Purple Orange. These auto-flowering varieties like a lot of sun exposure - or light exposure - and will complete their lifecycle from seed to harvest in a brief eight weeks. Growers should expect a strain that does not reach over three feet in height, nor does it ever produce greater than 30 grams, when cultivated indoors. Outdoors, gardeners might get 1.5 or 2 ounces, when cultivated under ideal conditions. However, the upside is that a lot of these plants are grown, they will produce a large combined yield, in just 8 weeks total.
