Chocolate Oatmeal Pot Muffins Recipe


  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup canna butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup almond milk (or regular milk)
  • 3 tbsp. cane sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. table salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tbsp. molasses
  • 4 tbsp. chocolate syrup
  • 2 tsp. apple cider vinegar
  • Directions:

    Combine the vinegar and almond milk and pour them in a bowl that has the oats in it. Let this soak at room temperature around an hour. After an hour, preheat the oven to 375 degree Fahrenheit and get out another mixing bowl. In this bowl mix the sugar, canna butter, apple sauce, chocolate syrup and molasses and fold it into the bowl with the milk/oats. Get out yet another bowl and mix the flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda until well mixed. Pour the mixture of oats into this bowl and stir until combined. Spread this mixture evenly between lined muffin trays and bake in the preheated oven for 25 - 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

    I made these 1 cup whole wheat flour instead of /2 white, bseauce it's all I had in the house. Very, very good! Next time I will flatten the them a little before cooking, as they didn't spread much, but I'll definitely make them again. I try to limit my sweets to something every couple of weeks and make it as healthy as I can. These fit the bill very nicely. Thanks Susan!     I love fruit and I always feel like <a href="">breskfaat</a> should be a sweet meal so it works well for me. I haven't tried too many nut butters, because I only like to buy 1 or two at a time so I make sure I use them. I really like Justin's alot (the maple almond butter is awesome, and the chocolate hazelnut is really a dessert!) although it has a lot of added sugar. Next round I think I'm going to try to make some myself.
