Thai Stick

Thai sticks – also referred to as tie sticks – are a form of getting high on cannabis, dating back to the middle of the 20th century. Traditionally, marijuana buds were speared on small, straight marijuana stems, ranging in size from 3” to 5”. Small fibers from inside the main stalk of the cannabis plant were then used to tie the buds to the stem. This may be where tie stick comes from, although they did originate in Thailand and Cambodia. After the buds are tied to the stem, the entire thing is then either dipped into hash oil, or thoroughly smeared with it. As an added step many people sprinkle with kief right after dipping/rolling in hash oil. To smoke it, simply pack into a vaporizer, break off pieces and stick in a pipe or bong, or wrap a paper around it and enjoy. Any way you do it, it’s a classic, old school way to get high.

I remember smoking opium infuzed buddah thai back in the early 80's. That was some of the strongest stuff I ever had in my life. Absolutly incredible. I wish it was still around.

We used to get these in Australia in the late 70's early 80's from Thailand- known as Thai Buddha sticks. The best ones are grown on mountain tops and were either tied with a piece of the stem fibre or sometimes a hair (erk) and wrapped in a leaf. Very sticky and only a tiny amount needed for a super high, rolling around the floor in fits of laughter.Very strong aroma, a little like automotive brake fluid.I'm getting wistful now.. Nothing has quite come close to the Thai Buddha- [i]thousands[/i ] of years of breeding

Man this brings back memories, old school is right. I use to sell these back in the late 70s when I was about 19. I bought a bunch of these and wrapped them up in fresh orange peels until they began to ferment. Then I dried them out and sold them as some exotic weed. They had a wonderful kick and the taste of citrus. haha what a time.

I have never tried these but they seem very intense. Kind of comparable to the honey bud, which looks delicious!

Thai sticks are a great way to medicate. Just throw on some Lynyrd Skynyrd and you're good to go.
