Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: With creeping effect that don't reach their full potential until 20 or 30 minutes subsequent to smoking, many users initially think White Willow is weak, thus smoking more of it. This can lead to severe intoxication (not that that's a bad thing) and couch-lock effects. White Willow is an excellent strain for chronic pain, as well as treating chemotherapy and other nausea issues.
This strain was created using a White Widow mother to breed with an Afghani Hawaiian male. The result is a strain with great potency, supreme flavors and buds that are dark in color, with large amounts of trichomes. Flavors are of sweet cocoa and berries, with strikingly similar aromas. White Willow is an excellent medicinal strain, which has been gaining quite a bit of popularity in the mid-West and elsewhere in the United States. In dispensaries, eighths are ranging between $30 and $50, depending on geographic location.
Due to the elongated flowering period of 10 to 11 weeks, it's recommended to vegetate White Willow no longer than three weeks, since it will tend to triple in height, at the end of flowering. The yield has shown to be below average, at best. However, this strain more than makes up for what it may lack in yield, with superb potency that is apparent in each and every bud. Whether these ladies are grown indoors or outdoors does not seem to matter. What does matter is that they have an experienced hand tending to them, as they can be somewhat finicky. For instance, they require a precise pH level of 6.6 to 6.8. Without a pH in this range, numerous deficiencies become present and the quality of the plants will likely suffer.
