Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: Aptly described as a superior all-around strain, Tangerine Dream offers an invigorating head high, buzzing body high and excellent medicinal effects. The blithe feelings provide a sense of joy and creativity.
Tangerine Dream can only be described as a true connoisseur strain. A relatively high CBD content compliments and out-of-this-world THC content. Any strain with THC levels over 20% typically qualifies as top-shelf potency. 25% is scarcely heard of. The density of the nugs is very good, while the nugs are covered with an incomprehensible amount of trichomes, giving it an ashen appearance. Flavors are sharp, lively and reminiscent of tropical citrus fruit, lingering on the palate with a sweet and fruity aftertaste.
There are two known phenotypes of Tangerine Dream. Both phenos are sativa-dominant and one is more common than the other. The first, and most common, pheno occurs in roughly 80% of seeds. This pheno takes ten to eleven weeks to complete the flowering cycle and has a structure not more than thirty-six inches. A second phenotype also occurs, although only around 20% of the time. This pheno takes twelve to fourteen weeks to flower and can reach a finished height of forty inches. Fan leaves on this variety are far more slender and sativa-like than the first pheno, which should be the first inclination to gardeners about which pheno they have. Both of them provide a moderate yield and will thrive, whether cultivated indoors, outdoors or in a greenhouse. Gardeners should avoid outdoor and greenhouse cultivation in areas where the nighttime temperatures can fall below forty-five degrees F.
