Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: This bud isn't the hardest-hitting or most potent variety out there, but you can bet you'll be blown away (no pun intended) by the flavor and smell of this lovely sativa-dominant variety. It tastes like fresh-cut strawberries with an aftertaste of cheddar cheese.
The origin of this strain's name is self-explanatory. From across the room you'll be able to distinctly smell this fruity little bud. However, that is what can be most deceiving about this bud. While it's not a weak strain, the smell and flavor is probably the best thing about this, rather than the effect. Although if you're of the old-school generation who prefer slightly weaker strains in order to not get completely wrecked, then Strawberry Smell may be just the bud for you, especially if you deal with depression or appetite issues.
If you do decide to grow this lady yourself, expect a flowering time of 9 - 10 weeks with an indoor yield of around 3/4 oz. per plant with outdoor yields ranging from 1 oz. per plant to 1.5 oz. per lady. Growing in a greenhouse isn't recommended as these dense buds can be particularly sensitive to mold and mildew. With that said, when growing indoors, be sure to install adequate ventilation and treat with neem oil and other foliar sprays only in the vegetative stage.
Rather pleasing is the fact that this bud typically sells for anywhere from $30 to $40 an eighth at most dispensaries and is a great casual daytime smoke.
