Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: This bud smells like medicated coffee with different spices added to it and the aroma carries over to the flavor. This bud has minimal smoke expansion and produces a mellow yet cerebral high that slowly changes into a modest body high. Not an overly potent strain but it has high medicinal value.
A landrace strain, Snowcap comes in two phenotypes. The first is a mostly sativa strain that grows much more like a sativa, producing similar effects. The second, as you might have guessed, is a mostly indica strain that grows short and bushy with broad, dark-green leaves that almost look black during maturity. Breeding of this strain became popular in British Columbia as well as the Netherlands. Producing huge light-green buds, both phenotypes flower between 8 and 10 weeks, with the sativa-dominant one preferring to wait until the 65 to 70 day mark to harvest. She’s not particularly sensitive to outdoor weather, and has shown a natural resistance to pests and diseases. Most growers will be pleased with the above average yields both phenotypes produce.
A highly medicinal strain with a THC content ranging from 10% to 14% and a CBD content between 1.5% and just over 3% many patients like this strain not for the high, but rather the relief it provides. This pheno is ideal for treating insomnia, eating disorders, nausea and pain relief. The sativa phenotype is not recommended for treatment of these symptoms. Flavors of decadent spices, cocoa, coffee, mint and danky butterscotch make Snowcap arguably one of the tastiest strains available. Patients concerned about finances will be pleased to see that this strain usually goes for around $40 per eighth and rarely more than $45.
yeah i feel pretty good off this strain pancreatitis pain gone
Snow cap was created by Mr High at David Moore Farm in mendocino in 2000. Ch9 seeds
dont forget the hairs people! Snowcap is covered in thick, long orange and tan hairs. When you pull apart a good nug of snowcap its should feel like pulling apart an old, weak ball of yarn. The best thing about snowcap is the quality of high, not quantity of high.
This is my favorite strain. It is not the most potent or the best tasting or strongest smelling but it's all perfect for me. This was the first strain that I grew from donated clones and remains my favorite to grow out of blueberry (indica), Fucking-Incredible, lemon-drop, cheese, blackberry-kush, black-domina, bluedream, ATF, Juicy-Fruit and chocolope. The bud quality is very dependent on temperature perferring cooler climate of about 75 degrees. If you don't have any temperture spikes you will harvest some appealing dense nugs. The smoke is very smooth and is mostly bland but has kind of a butterscotch/coffee/vanilla taste. In a sun bowl I have tasted fruit-loops very strongly but that was the only time. Another time, I was walking in the rain with my hood on with a partially lit joint behind my ear and with every step my hood will expand and a tiny bit of fresh smoke would fill my hood and it smelled like Ice-Cream cone. Great sativa high, makes you feel creative and ads a shine to everything you do.
Love Snowcap and how dense the buds are. Strong high and long-lasting. The only downside for me is that it tends to be a little harsh. Overall, it's definitely in my top 20 favorite strains.
now snowcap is one of my favorutes. It has that great smeell/taste and never lets u down.
S-cap is an awesome strain. It tastes like the sweetest candy and the high has long legs. My advice to all of you is to find someone like me that not only knows how to grow it but more importantly knows how to PROPERLY cure it. I have found this strain to be a lil more difficult to bring out everything it can be...
This is a really harsh smoke for me. It hits my lungs real hard giving me a case of coughing fits that tears me apart. I did like the high it left but the texture was not as good as I had hoped it would be.
Snowcap can have a smooth taste and smoke but when grown organically, and no, the potency is not that high but the lower high does last a while. I first tried this strain through a delivery service, and thought it was pretty good but did not take me long to realize that my tolerance for this strain would go up very quickly. So this would not be recommended to those that build their tolerance fairly quick.
what is the sativa/indica percentage of snowcap???
Snowcap was not one of my favorite weeds, though it is aesthetically pleasing. Its buds are quite large and plump, very dense. It is COVERED in crystals on the outside (staying true to its name), however the inner caverns don't seem to be that full of crystals. This weed burns kinda quickly, and its hits can be a little harsh from time to time. Its taste is fresh, but isnt great. It isn't particularly fruity or skunky, just a good mid-level strain. I've found it to be both a hybrid, and indica, and a sativa at various different clubs. Each give a very similar awake but very chill high. Sometimes it will make you a little stoney on the comedown, but over it has no real BAD qualities. There's better out there for the price.
Snowcap was also good but the taste seemed a little more harsher than others such as GDP. But its buzz last awhile.
