Rhode Island Skunk has giant, somewhat airy buds with short, pink/orange pistils and a moderate coating of trichomes. These buds absolutely reek of skunk (in the best possible way of course). The breeder took a Skunk #1 female and pollinated it using a Super Skunk male. The result is a strain that has moderate potency, at best, great flavor, large yields and is easy to cultivate. Eighths of Rhode Island Skunk tend to sell for around $35 to $45 in most dispensaries. These ladies will do best when allowed to vegetate at least a month, before they flower for a fairly brief 7 to 8 weeks. They are great for a Sea of Green type grow as they grow with one single, large cola and a relatively short structure. Outdoors they should be ready for harvest by the end of September or early October and can provide huge yields, upwards of a half-pound per plant outdoors. Indoors the yield is right around 2 - 4 ounces, depending on the size of pot used and amount of time allowed to vegetate. These ladies aren't particularly sensitive to nute burn so growers shouldn't hesitate to feed them lots of nutrients, while ensuring they receive a 2 to 3-week flush.
