Purple Power
Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: Tasting exactly like the candy Fun Dip, this strain is smooth, thick and sweet with a dank, sour exhale. There is little to no smoke expansion and the effect sets in rapidly. This is a very good strain for the daytime smoker.
Originally a cross between the classically potent Purple Haze and Early Skunk, this marvelous Sativa was created for a distinct purpose. Most of the members of the purple family do not grow well some of the Northern European countries (i.e. Holland). Purple Power was created to be particularly adept at growing in colder wet climates, while retaining the favorable characteristics of purple weed. Ranging in appearance from medium-green and light purple to dark-purple buds, this strain was the High Times Cannabis Cup winner in 1998. It’s clear to see why too. This strain is extremely potent, known to contain up to as much as 20% THC, providing an extremely uplifting yet tranquil cerebral high.
Typical of a Sativa, Purple Power grows tall, between 5 and 7 feet with long, spindly leaves that seem to reach out for you. During maturity, she can turn vibrantly purple and give off a pleasantly danky, sweet and sour aroma. She rewards growers with large, potent buds and a generous yield. Recommended for outdoor cultivation, but suitable for growth in a cooler indoor environment, you will not be disappointed once you add Purple Power to your garden.
Arguably one of the better tasting Sativa strains, Purple Power has a sweet, sour and danky flavor with undertones of spice and skunk. It provides and extremely cerebral and powerful medicated effect that lasts between 1 ½ and 2 hours for most patients. Reasonably priced for between $45 and $50 an eighth at most dispensaries, you won’t be disappointed with your choice to toke up some HTCC-winning Purple Power.
