Papaya's lineage comes from an unknown hybrid and an Afghani strain of cannabis, accounting for the noticeable Indica effects. It is also a favorite for cloning and cross-breeding.

While it grows at it's best either indoors or in a greenhouse, if you want to achieve the scents and flavors which are it's namesake, it should be grown in an outdoor environment. Another favorable trait of Papaya is it's natural resistance to mold and disease. Comparatively this marijuana matures rather early, contributing to it's popularity among all types of growers.

While it's name may sound meek and light, it's effects are quite the opposite. Papaya hits you immediately and produces an incredibly intense body high that leaves many who use it it in a hopeless case of couch-lock. I grew out three of these about ten years ago in the swamps on a island made of clay. The site had poor sunlight but hey, it's the swamps! Take what you can find. Even with Florida level bugs,humidity, poor sunlight and limited nutrients I still pulled a decent amount and it wasn't the plants fault it didn't do better. The quality? Well, I gave a cured bud to a friend of mine who always had good herb. He says he rolled up the bud in a joint (my eyes got big), smoked half of it (and bigger), and jumped in the shower (LMAO by now)! He says he "got lost" and didn't even realize how long he had been zoning until the water turned cold and he hadn't shampooed or soaped! I just called him dirty, his wife agrees. Seriously good and NICE buzz, deceptively strong and ridiculously pleasant, even though it only lasted about 1-1.5 hrs.
