Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: OG Dog doesn't play around. This strain kicks in with full force, providing a rushing cerebral effect that is complimented by an equally potent body high. This is a good strain for any time of the day or night, but should not be used right before bed, as it can keep some users awake.
Perhaps some of the most beautiful buds around, OG Dog has large, chunky nugs with electric-orange pistils intertwined with traces of blue and lavender. The smell is of fresh grapefruit and apple cider, with flavors of hash, citrus and pine. The aftertaste leaves a sweet, candy-like undertone that lingers on the palate for quite some time.
Cultivation of OG Dog is best done indoors or in an outdoor area that doesn't have temperatures drop below 50 degrees Fahrenheit. It should also not be grown in a greenhouse, as it will likely accumulate powdery mildew and bud rot. The colas should receive stake support, during flowering to prevent them from snapping under their own weight. Growers are advised to limit the level of nutrients OG Dog receives, because it can be prone to nutrient burn.
