The Matanuska Mint strain of marijuana was created rather innocently when Sagarmatha was asked to store a batch of Grey Mist plants for a friend in need. When the breeders saw the 2 strains near each other, the decision was made to cross them. The stand-out choice in names was Matanuska Mist, but that was changed to Matanuska Mint after she was enjoyed by the staff. Her smooth, minty smoke and turquoise leaves created a unanimous renaming that has never since been questioned.

The leaves that grow on the Matanuska Mint strain of cannabis represent both Sativa and Indica heritage. They are long and thick with serrated edges. She is a favorite strain of indoor growers along the Pacific Coast of California, Oregon and Washington. And she doesn't stop there; breeders and growers along the coast of Canada and back into Alaska are also working with her regularly. It's recommended that she is grown indoors and allowed to multi-branch. She should grow no more than 4 feet in height and end up absolutely smothered in sticky, resinous trichromes. It's true that she presents a heavy body stone, but the mental high you receive from her simultaneously will dominate the experience.
