Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: A creeper strain in the truest sense of the word, Lao Sativa offers a long-lasting effect, after taking nearly 25 minutes to reach full intensity. This is a very clean, upbeat and alert high, that causes very little, if any, paranoia or other negative feelings typically associated with pure sativas.
This is a landrace IBL from Laos, that was originally bred by cannabis guerilla growers in the Luang Prabang region in the northern part of the country. The buds are neither dense, nor airy and are quite big in size. They also have plenty of trichomes covering them and give off a pleasant aroma of citrus and rosehips. Lao Sativa is usually preferred by those who enjoy and upbeat, energized high.
As with many pure sativas, when cultivating Lao Sativa it's important to accommodate these ladies with lots of humidity. They will do best when grown in an outdoor area that is relatively tropical and humid, but they can do well in more arid areas, when grown in a greenhouse. Indoor gardeners will likely want to commence flowering after the first week of vegetation, in order to keep these ladies at a manageable height. They'll usually flower for anywhere from 14 to 16 weeks and can quadruple in height, by the end of flowering. Lao Sativa has a good resistance to most pests or diseases. This is an exceedingly vigorous strain of cannabis sativa.
