  • Classification: Sativa (75%)/Indica (25%)
  • Growing Environment: Indoor Recommended
  • Flowering Time: 60 - 70 days
  • THC Content: Low
  • CBD Content: High
  • Garden Ability: Beginner to Intermediate
  • Medicinal Uses: Pain relief, anti-inflammatory, anxiety
  • Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: The taste is ever-so-sweet with definite fruitiness, with the aroma being thick, sweet and hash-like.

Harlequin is preceded by a Thai cannabis strain, a Swiss one, and a Columbian Gold marijuana strain. While Harlequin is notably low in THC content (lab testing in California showed around 7%), it is considerably high in CBD (usually showing results between 5% and 9%). Cannabidiol content this high in strains throughout dispensaries is considered somewhat rare in recent time, making this unique strain sought after for it's pain relieving qualities and noticeable cerebral effects.

Comparitively, this amazing hybrid begins her flowering cycle early. Dime-sized buds are oftentimes visible after just 2 weeks into Harlequin producing the first buds. Additionally, growers should take caution in the last week or two before they harvest this plant. The flowering tops become so heavy and buds so tri-chrome-covered that the colas will require extra support to keep from collapsing under all this added weight. An added frustration - but one that is well worth the wait - is that Harlequin usually takes between 2 and 3 weeks to finish the curing process.

Harlequin is not for those smokers who are just looking to "catch a buzz," due to the low THC content, however medicinally speaking, this strain is great for patients looking for chronic pain relief or who enjoy meditating, because of the amount of CBD present in the cannabis. Harlequin is one of those strains that, when grown properly, will come out amazing, but when grown improperly, has a tendency to be an abomination.

65 year old Vietnam vet, 100% rated for PTSD, also spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease. It's hard to find, but it's the best I've found so far. Harlequin tends not to be stocked by many dispensaries in NorCal because it's low in THC. It's a perfect medicine for me. PLEASE, Sonoma County, Marin, Mendocino, keep it in stock, thanks....

Found a seed of this strain in a gram I purchased from a dispensary. So far she seems to be a little slow for growth in veg stage, compared to other strains. Definite Indica dominance early on in the leaf shape changing after a few weeks to narrower leaves. Seems to really like nutrients in her water, performs noticeably slower without them. The seed was a very fast starter, cracked within hours, and had a half inch root within 12 hours of cracking. But as I said, she seems to grow slower than others in veg.

I love this strain. I've used it before. It's especially good at providing a gentle pain relief to us older folks. Muscle aches and Bone aches tend to be reduced, for me better and safer than Ibuprophen which I can't take because of kidney problems. We find it good for the morning after a hard days work. It's happy, uplifting and clearheaded--I get a lot of work done on it. CBDs are where it's at.

I have been looking for this strain for a year and a half now! Where in Eastern Washington State can I find some? I hear there is some in Seattle, but I cannot drive that far. Can a dispensary in Seattle mail it to me here on the other side of the state if I have all my paperwork??

Certainly one of the most bitter oils I have ever tasted. Also one of the best relaxing, pain meds ever. Yes, that is correct, better than OxyC, Morphine & whatever other man made BS meds there are. Best results IMHO is a grain of rice size portion of oil on a saltine cracker (small piece) in between the gum and cheek. Let it dissolve completely through the bloodstream. Complete opposite of what smoking/eating is. This strain makes any oil better. Amazing sleep.

I recently got my MM card here in WA state. I've lived with chronic back pain and sciatica for 13 years from an auto accident. I want to use M to hopefully get off methadone and percocet I take every 6 hours. I started reading about CBD and found the ProjectCBD site which mentioned Harlequin. I also saw a highly concentrated Harlequin Oil product being sold in CA with a 45% CBD and 25% THC. I asked my local dispensary if they had such an oil and he said they just got in a capsule form of H Oil. They were $2 a pop so I bought a few to test. It took about an hour to start to feel and then it came on strong and lasted a very long time. My whole body was humming which made my pain reside into the background. It was a great product and did give a wonderful relaxing high without overwhelming you. Try this concentrated oil if you want some real pain relief.

I like and use Harlequin almost everyday for my Asthma. I had my winter indoor bud tested, and it tested out at 9.77% CBD, I am also growing a clone outside as I am in Cali and have a RX. she's a slow grower and to me is VERY much an Indica Dom plant she's about 6 foot high and like 8 foot wide very nice but is very slow grower. Not all strains are going to work for everyone my wife has anxiety and Harlequin doesn't work for her but others I have let try it it helped them a lot for anxiety, and pain. To me CBD is very good Asthma medicine and I can't smoke so I eat it.

Oddly enough I find that Harlequin and other strains high in CBD cause me a lot of problems. I tend to get rather dopey, confused and depressed when I use them which is a shame because they are great for my back pain. It's strange because most people find these strains to be less likely to cause depression, anxiety and intoxication. It seems opposite for me.

Hi Mark, Your article, "Harlequin," dated June 04, 2012 left me with a few questions. Why is it recommended to be grown inside? Is there a problem growing Harlequin outside and if so, what would it be? Are you referring to the vegging cycle, flower cycle or both? Thank you for any information you can provide me with, I appreciate it. Regards, John W. Getts jlgetts57@gmail.com 18940 Fir Dr. Big Rapids, MI 49307 231 796 1827

This stuff is cool , like that old stoney high . Not for hard core smokers cause its preety mild . Pain did decrease in my neck and back , feel pretty good. Some strains intensify the pain so some element of relief for me. Taste was mild , a little fruity but wouldnt go tht far. Smell was decent and texture was very nice , very tight buds on the tops , smaller nugs on the bottum of course. Me likey

YES!!! This weed is superb. I LOVED the way it made me feel. It started slowly, then it hit me... my johnson got REALLY, REALLY erect and my balls smelled like pineapple (according to the mail woman) . I thought that I had really found the one, but then the come down... I began to crap my pants and had an uncontrollable urge to shove my dick into the cat. I woke up nude on the floor of the post office.

Pain? Nah. This is more for the panic and anxiety prone. Has more of a cerebral calming effect, does not do anything physically. Which is good for anxiety victims! I smoke some sativas and indicas, ending up in heart pounding, chest discomfort, nausea and the "lump in the throat" feeling and its horrible. Harlequin cures that and I rather smoke this sweet stuff than have a dependency on zoloft or other SSRIs that are prone to side effects. Having negative thoughts? Anxiety related spasms and bloating, uneasiness? Harlequin is for you! Btw, dispensaries in SoCal need to get with the program and carry this important strain more often.

IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP! two weeks ago i started harlequin for insomnia because of the CBD. first of all, i went from 4 hrs of sleep to 7+ horus, with fewer nightmares (or recalled nightmares.)i feel much better during the day. it has beaten trazadone, benydril, lunesta, vicadin, including all at once. the only other thing that could knock me out for 7 hours was heroin. harlequin was recommended to me by my doctor and two dispensaries. i haven't smoked pot the last ten years, but i know the high from this bud is neglibile if your looking for any derangement and "fun." it has done nothing for my continuous shoulder pain, but i have notices idea-changing cognitive effects, paradigm shifts in approach to the same question. the last time i got some mr. nice. the last bud i smoked were native maine buds, so i discovered these plants vary in character more than i knew.

The harlequin grown by The Humboldt Collective /Humboldt Medical Supply in Arcata, Ca is the best! nearly 10% THC and an incredible 9+ CBD's. If you miss the stoned effect, blend it with higher thc varieties like Purp Nepalese, Kush or Train Wreck and it is perfect. Long lasting effects of harlequin improve any blends - by far.

Compared to other strains available this one tastes and smells pretty mediocre. Amazing however for anyone in need of high cbd levels. Great as a painkiller if your pain is caused by inflammation or inflamed nerves, not the best for nerve damage though. One of best strains for crohns disease.

For me this is one great weed...the weed I need! I have a very low tolerance for a weed high. A BB sized piece of "Purple Goo" is nearly too much for me...anxiety, heart rush, etc. This on the other hand is very mellow a nice relaxed feeling, very pleasant. Just what I have been looking for. Every body is different but I can say for me this is pretty close to being the valium of weed.

I found that the strain known as the Harlequin was just really an average bud. The high wasn't very good other then it will mellow you. The taste was descent and yet it didn't last very long. I also found it didn't do anything for back pain what so ever.

guess if you're pain isn't as bad as mine, it really didn't do anything to bring the levels down. Wasn't really into the smell, potency for me wasn't there barely got the job done, wanted more even after five minutes. Need something stronger if your pain is truly intense.

The taste of this strain is fruity and kind of floraly, very yummy taste. It is a great pain reliever without any of the paranoia and over baked feeling that you can sometimes get from other strains. It's effective if you need to be functioning for the day because it helps with the pain and doesn't make you forgetful.
