Hair of the Dawg
Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: Despite the somewhat gnarly sounding name, this bud is a potential Cannabis Cup winner. Flavors of hash, fuel and spice precipitate a heavy, sativa influenced high that can last up to 2 whole hours. This is a great bud for either daytime or nighttime medication. You haven't seen frost until you've encountered some well-grown Hair of the Dawg. THis stuff has so many trichomes it's hard to see the slight purple hues and fluffy, yet somewhat dense foliage under all these potent, sticky trichs. This strain smells of flowers, fuel, earth and hash with a somewhat similar flavor. Expect eighths of this strain to sell for around $55 at most dispensaries in California and Oregon. It's recommended to vegetate these ladies a solid month, before forcing them into flower for an additional 10 to 11 weeks. Around week 8 or 9 they begin to turn slightly purple, especially on the sugar leaves and outer edges of the buds. During this same time they also start to give off an aroma of plum or similar fruit. Once you start to see the purple and smell the fruit, you'll know Hair of the Dawg is only another 1 to 2 weeks away. Try growing these ladies in a hydroponic environment, in order to increase the yield.
