This is a good strain for the taste and overall high.The hype has increased the price way too much if you ask me,everyone to their own though.Currently growing outdoor "Thin Mint" Clone this season in CA and I hope it is the actual strain , I will see.. regardless I am sure it will be good.If anyone has grown this outdoor let me know how it went or how it is going.The smell and taste of this strain speaks for itself,if have not tried I recommend that you do.

Being from the bay area, I've had the original GSC and its the F1 Durban which gives it its unique smell and taste like raw cookie dough almost. But like any flower it depends on how its grown to get the full potential. Its not the strongest weed out there but definitely packs a punch. And now that there is hype surrounding it, There are all these bandwagon states and countries hopping on.

I am just smoked some and could tell I was in for a treat and It was. NIce og smell but also had a cheese smell to it and some fruity purple. It is supposed to be og x durban poisen x and cherry og, wich is pretty diverse lineage, and some exotic sativas which act differently then more commonly bred sativa strains. Cherry og has some Thai in it, durban is from africa a very big continant with many varietals and the durban is supposed to be dank and black in colour like a thai stick. So inica or sativa this ones got some good lineage that hits alot of notes.

All you guys are arguing over which is the "real" Ocean Grown Kush. First, let me give you a lesson on what O.G. (Ocean Grown) Kush is.........it was made with a Chem91 mother and a Thai/Paki father. The owner of the father commented on the strain after the initial cross and said "What do you think of the mountain grown kush? (referring to the Paki) The owner of the mother said, "Shit, is ocean grown kush!" BUT O.G. Kush is a poly-hybrid of an Afgan/Mex (Chem91) and a Thai/Paki AND they made shit loads of seeds. The owner found a cut that he liked and started passing them around in different areas, that's why you see so many different "OG's" NOW STOP ADDING "Ocean Grown" TO FLIPPING EVERYTHING! YOU DON'T ALL LIVE BY THE OCEAN! As for GSC, it's a pretty good broadleaf, none of the Durban comes out except for a little spice in the taste.

I've smoked weed for 7 years, and having tried Blue Dream, Larry OG, Green Dragon, OG Kush, Jack Herer, Purple Urkle, Grandaddy Purple, Strawberry Cough, Sour Diesel, Trainwreck, Northern Lights, Super Silver Haze, and Jilly Bean, I can say that this strain is THE STRONGEST I'VE EVER HAD. It even demolishes the stuff I've had in Amsterdam, and It even got me higher, faster than Skywalker OG full melt hash (on a hit-per hit basis).

Only Blue Dream, Larry OG, and Strawberry Cough have come close.

I haven't had a strong kush in over 5 years. They were all midgrade, in every dispensary I've been to.

I really enjoy this strain. Great indica dominant hybrid. From what I've heard, the genetics for G.S.C. is Cherry Pie x OG Kush. Cherry Pie being Durban Poison x OG Kush x GDP. if you ever got the REAL cherry pie from garden of eden in hayward, between 2010 and 2011. the genetics are gdp x og kush x durban poison x alaskan thunderfuck. the strain came from Ukiah and no longer is distributed. now there is the fake cherry pie going around, same genetics minus the ATF. The ATF was crossed with the gdp og dp after an unnamed grower i know grew the strain he got from an old school grower and loved it, but thought that the ATF would give it a little kick and also bring out pretty purple flowers, which it did. So if you ever smoked that magenta purple cherry pie from garden of eden back in the day you have smoked the TRUE cherry pie. And Gsc is not over rated, its just most these fools out there that grow it are terrible gardeners and do the strain no justice.

The taste of the GSC I smoked had a flavor of actual Girl Scout "Thin Mints" Cookies.
Very kush-like, but with a serious mentholated, peppermint side, and a chocolate flavor on the exhale.
My buddy had real Cherry Pie at the same time, and I can def say that the Girl Scout Cookies was WAY stonger than the Cherry Pie.
I have also had the fortune cookies... my asian friend got it from his buddies and they told him it was grown from seeds in a batch of the Green Door's GSC.
It had very little taste, and only a slight wiff of the smell of real GSC, and only when you cracked the buds open.
I still like a plain old OG Kush flavor the best of all, but I do like me some GSC every now and then !!!

This review kinda stinks. The lineage is wrong, doesn't describe the flavor right at all and the REAL gsc cut is not out. The "Fortune Cookies" people are talking about is the asian gangsters growing out the couple seeds they find in pounds they buy.
