Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: The high produced from Giesel is tantamount to it's mother, Chem-D, producing a sedating body high, coupled with incredible cerebral effects. The head high is not one that is particularly conducive to clear thinking. This is a great PM strain, or for when not much productivity is required.
While we don't condone judging a strain based solely on appearances, Giesel certainly has excellent bag appeal. The short, pink pistils provide a sharp contrast against silver-white backdrop of glistening, sticky trichomes. The buds tend to be medium in size, medium in density, and exceptionally high in trichome count. Among those who try her, Giesel immediately becomes a favorite. What's not to like about this strain? It has great potency, great appearance, an aroma of fuel, sweet candy and skunk, with flavors of sharp citrus and fuel. Suffice to say, this bud is a connoisseur strain, when grown properly.
While the Mass Super Skunk male certainly decreased the flowering time and increased the yield of the Chem-D, one thing it did not do was increase the ease of cultivation. There are a few things that must be done, in order to ensure Giesel is successfully cultivated. One of the first things is that these ladies prefer temperatures that do not vary considerably. Indoor growers would do well to maintain temperatures not above 76 degrees F. Outdoor cultivation can work, with this strain, however, the temperatures should not get above 80 F, nor below 50 at night. Giesel is also sensitive to powder mildew, so an increased about of CFM circulating the grow room is recommended. For this reason, greenhouse cultivation is not likely to produce optimum results. The colas must also be supported with stakes during late flowering, so that they do not break under the weight of the buds. An extraordinary indica-dominant variety, Giesel is not available in seed form. This is a clone-only strain. Enjoy wherever it can be found.
