Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: While Flatland Basic is, well, sort of basic in terms of potency, it is good for patients who feel overwhelmed by notoriously powerful strains like Purple Urkle, Chem-4 or Jack Herer. The breeder created this one by crossing Danish Passion with Skunk #1. Danish Passion is a cross of Passion #1 and Skunk #1 so the additional cross with Skunk #1 makes for a very Skunky finish. Flatland Basic has moderately dense buds with only moderate amounts of trichomes. These buds have long orange pistils and very swollen calyxes, giving off an unmistakable yet pleasant Skunk aroma. Amazingly for a sativa-dominant strain this bud only flowers for 7 to 8 weeks, after a 3 to 4 weeks of vegetation. This strain will tend to double in height after forced flowering, sometimes tripling. Usually at finish they are around 3 to 4 feet tall indoors and up to 6 feet tall outdoors. Outdoors they will be ready for harvest by the end of September. One of the best things about Flatland Basic is that it can provide up to a quarter-pound per plant outdoors and up to 2 ounces per plant in a 5-gallon pot indoors. This bud also produces clones that take root with ease. Great for beginning growers. Other than that, advanced growers would be better off to spend their time growing a strain with better potency, such as Blue Dream, Trainwreck or Ak47 if they are looking for a sativa-dominant strain to cultivate. Stay away from greenhouse cultivation as Flatland Basic is somewhat prone to mildew.
