Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: A pleasantly mellow effect lasts for around 30 or 40 minutes when you smoke on this stuff. Eating it in the form of edibles has shown to produce decent effects as well.
Perhaps some of the most unique bud around in appearance, Erdbeer Freezeland has medium-green buds, moderate trichomes, but pistils that are deep-royal purple. The pistils alone make this strain quite a sight to behold. Of course, looks aren't everything. The potency would best be rated as average. It's not a bammer strain, but it's definitely not top-shelf, either. Mids would probably be the best way to describe EF. Surprisingly, the texture is tantalizingly sticky, but just doesn't hold up to expectations when it comes to potency. However, the aromas of flowers, grapes and Starburst candy immediately fill the nostrils, complimented by a sour fruity taste, with an aftertaste of hash. Those traits alone are enough to keep some coming back for more. This strain is more popular in the southern Hemisphere than it is in the northern, but is seen in a select few dispensaries in the Pacific Northwest.
Without a doubt, one of the best things about this strain is watching it grow, especially during flowering. Erdbeer Freezeland proudly brags about herself during flowering, putting on a vibrant display of lime green and purple. Maybe this one should have been called Barney, since it resembles that creepy little dinosaur so much. Recommended vegetation time is between 4 and 6 weeks. This is one strain that clones incredibly well and has cuttings that will completely take root within 7 days. Outdoors, these ladies will be ready for the pickin' by the end of September or beginning of October. During the final weeks of flowering, these ladies truly start to smell like a Napa Valley grape vineyard. If it weren't for the mediocre potency, Erdbeer Freezeland would certainly be a connoisseur-grade strain. It still may be a connoisseur strain, just for those individuals who prefer a milder smoke, but with excellent aroma, flavor and appeal.
