Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: This is definitely one of the "Kushier" strains I've tried, with flavors of intense Kush and a danky citrus aftertaste. The high hits immediately, beginning with a slight pressure around the temples, before transitioning into a relaxing body high.
Empress Kush was the result of an impeccable Chem-D mother being pollinated by an equally impeccable Emperor OG Kush male. The buds greatly resemble their Chem-D genetics in appearance but have mostly the flavor of the Emperor OG Kush. Empress Kush has some incredibly frosty buds that have a dense structure. A favorite way of consuming this strain by many cannabis users is to vaporize it, where the flavors can change from a Kushy citrus to more of a Kush and hash flavors. In Oregon dispensaries this strain has been requiring a $45 donation for an eighth.
Like many OG varieties, Empress Kush stretches a bit, so it's best not to vegetate her past 3 weeks. Once flowering these ladies will triple their height at the end of veg, being ready for harvest around 9 or 10 weeks later, when growing indoors. Outdoors they can be grown in areas that have cool but not cold temperatures through the end of October. Also like many Kush varieties these ladies take extremely well to being clone and/or transplanted. They build roots very quickly, making for an overall hearty, lush and vigorous plant. One thing to make sure of is that these ladies have plenty of ventilation and CFMs circulating the grow area, during flowering. Once flowering they can be somewhat sensitive to PM if not given enough ventilation so we really want to stress that point. They also prefer the temps when flowering to range between 73 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit. This strain is not available in seed form, as far as we know, since it was a medical grower who created the strain themselves. Clones may be available in select dispensaries.
