Cannabissearch.com Buzz rating: Skunky flavor with a hint of citrus. Very stony, mellow high.
While the exact lineage of Dutch Crunch is unclear, what is known is that it is a highly regarded and sought after strain of cannabis. It has been a winner in the Cannabis Cup and is a favorite in dispensaries in America, but is more commonly found in coffee shops in Amsterdam.
Dutch Crunch grows around 4 or 5 feet tall, with a lush forest-green color, and thick foliage. The buds are solid but not unusually dense, and covered with sticky tri-chromes. This strain of marijuana is commonly crossed with such others as Hashplant, Northern Lights, and Purple Skunk. Being that it does well growing in almost anything (including hydroponically), it is commonly used by beginning or first-time growers. Seeds germinate nearly instantly, and once vegetating it is resistant to pests. Dutch Crunch typically offers anywhere between 18% - 25% THC, with the average harvest bringing anywhere from 1/4 pound to 1/2 pound of buds.
Medicating with Dutch Crunch begins by experiencing a fruity skunk flavor, that leaves you with an intoxicating body high, while enabling and encouraging clear-thinking and productivity. This is a very potent strain that leaves smokers continually seeking it's superb medicinal qualities.
I ejaculated all over my grandmothers tits when I took a few hits!
Hey people! I am the one who provided the sample that won the 2012 cup in LA entered by Buds and Roses. While it is true that it is a sativa dominant hybrid, Dutch Treat #5 is believed to have actually been crossed with Hash Plant, not Jack Herer. This is according to my friend who first got clones from the first original DT #5 in Bellingham WA many years ago. The sample I entered is grown from that same original lineage. A truly epic strain!
The description of the dutch crunch is completely wrong. It is a sativa dominant hybrid (80-20) of Dutch treat#5 and jack herer. It won 3rd place the recent la cannabis cup listed wrongfully as Dutch treat#5 in the sativa catagory. It's currently carried in a few of the larger bay area clinics as well as a few in San Jose. It's the best I've ever seen for a sativa hands down.
I live in San Francisco, so I'm fortunate to access to quite a few clinics, I'm spoiled by I think its the best next to OG
I have had this called Dutch Treat. This shop I went to had it tested and it was something like 22.6% THC. I really enjoyed it because of the strong smell and the good spicy green taste on the inhale. There was a nice smoke expansion and it didn't feel too much like a Sativa or an Indica. I felt that I got the pleasant effects of both without any paranoia. It lasted a fairly long amount of time too, several hours.
Buddy brought it around, hope to find more. I am a fan of the skunky smells, more like I'm used to. Tasted nice and worked real good.
