On the inhale, Durban Poison greets you with smooth flavors of mint and menthol, with a spicey, danky exhale with an undertone of licorice and dank. Originally from South Africa, this inbred landrace gained popularity in Amsterdam, and thus eventually North America. This 100% Sativa is ideal for creating F1 hybrids that are packed with potency. Many patients are often confused by Durban Poison, because of the fact that it is usually vibrantly purple, yet it is 100% Sativa. The effect however, is very much like a typical Sativa, but perhaps slightly more mellow and relaxed than would normally be experience from Blue Dream or another similar Sativa. Ideal for patients with migraines, arthritis, nausea, loss of appetite, and depression, Durban Poison can be found at most dispensaries for a reasonable price between $45 and $55 per eighth. Toker take caution, this strain is packed with potency and can cause extreme drowsiness in users with lower tolerances, despite the fact that it is Cannabis Sativa.

Favored by growers with above average abilities, Durban Poison rewards those who cultivate her with huge buds loaded with THC and a large yield. She’s an extremely bush plant with a low calyx-to-leaf ratio. However, some growers use her trimming to make potent hash due to the amount of foliage the have after harvest. Suitable for indoor as well as outdoor growth, she flowers in 8 to 10 weeks when cultivated indoors. Outdoor growers can harvest Durban Poison in the last week of October. She grows tall, reaching up to 12 feet when in an outdoor environment.

Started this strain from clone last outdoor season in CA and by far is my favorite strain,The smell and taste is just too hard to describe but as others have said you must try and you WILL like and want more.I am currently looking for the strain in clone form to have this season but looks like I have no luck.If you like tree with a lovely taste and nice high but not overload at least not by the looks of the user then this is a strain for you.This has nothing to do with this but has anyone heard of the strain Blue Flower,if so let me know how you like it or if you grew it or growing it or whatever haha.Everyone have a great day.

Just got some Durpy Derr (durban poison). Wow long lasting extremely enjoyable high. I am not an occassional smoker ... and the high lasted hours. No bad come down either real mellow. Reeeedickulous smell. Skunky skunky! Def needs a jar! Not the best to look at cuz im into that ... hard to cut with scissors, very dense nugget. Chose this over Sour Diesel and am happy with that decision. Cost less too $175/ half oz. Great medecine :)

Alright i just got to clear some shit up.... i live in the mile high city (co) and at this point in time im getting oz's of DURBAN POISON for $180 flat.. so i think that 420 is way to fucking pricey.. and old boy is right dude growing this shit for free , except the price for the ph and nutrients and fertilizers, so i ended up getting a durban seed my self and now im doing my own thing.. FOR FREE!!!!

I live on the east coast and I would never pay more than 375 for an oz. no matter how fucking good the buds are. if you pay 420 an oz on the east coast for some exotics than you're boy who's giving to ya probably doesn't re-up on much at all and is banging your head on a large price to make a quick buck so he can smoke to support his habbit. lol. The only reason im on this review is cause I just picked up a strain of this for 300 an oz and its fucking awesome, try it. it's too distinctive to not remember it again if you ever come across it, kinda like the smell of sour d. its kinda purple though which is weird cause it is a sativa.

I know people who pay $500 an ounce/ $270 a half for medical. No named strains just medical mj. I could get legit strain names and straight as fuck bags from my dude, and my shit comes in Rx bottles with the name on it so I'm damn sure I aint getting scammed. And I honestly doubt your paying $2500 for a pound of DANK. More like high mids or Beasters. Come on dude. And yes it is just a plant congratulations! Down here in VA, a ounce of legit 100% Sativa Durban Poison is $420. Pretty expensive but damn is this shit potent. I bought a Q for $130 and was shocked on how long it lasted me. Normally a Q will last me any where from a day to 2 days max this shit lasted me a whole fucking week! Everytime I smoked this bud I felt as if I was in a dream.

When I had this shit in early 80's it was mostly a hardened crystalline brown purplish nugget hard to break up with fingernails, crushed it into a powder and mulled it, it was the trippiest smoke I've ever had, Doris Day on the radio sounded like Pink Floyd. Maybe it was a good year, but it beat buddha sticks of the same era hands down, twice the potency.

I had a lot of Durban Poison from Colorado, and every time I got it, it was always the same consistent dank bud. The smell is one I will never forget, I can't really describe it, but it was such an original smell. Every time I opened my jar my nose was flooded with the scent. The buds them selfs had a dark yet very healthy green, covered by dark orange almost rust colored hairs. It smoked so well, and rolled very nice. It's a must try for any Sativa lover.

smells and tastes very much like good old Jack Herer buds are not trimmed "cone"like but are more bushy yet nice and dense...

The greatest Sativa in existence as far as I am concerned. The best tasting, smelling, and 100% sativa, it will ruin you yet leave you still able to function. I love it because I can get ripped off of it and go to work with nobody able to tell. A truly beautiful strain.

Durban poison is really a great, strong and yet-mellow sativa strain. This would be ideal for patients who aren't particularly fans of sativa strains but willing to try it; when smoked get prepared to be surprised.
The thick aroma and mass amounts of crystal trichromes were the first things I noticed, and the taste was pungy and sweet and you start to feel the affects just seconds later; I felt this bud gave me a really good relaxed head high, perfect for watching a movie with my lady and maybe some good munchies to share.
I was able to find this great strain through a delivery service for $45 located in Murrieta, also has a location in San Diego.

Durban Poison may have an intimidating name, but in no way will you'll be afraid of this strain after you try it, you'll just want more. The sharp smell is unbelievably piney and potent that really throws out a dominating aroma. It has a very dark green look that has a serviceable amount of crystals that really pop out at you take a deeper look into the bud. They're a couple of extremely small orange hairs around the decently dense buds. The taste was amazingly sour and made you keep wanting to try it over and over again. The high lasted decently long and gave me a unbelievable body high that completed a nice head mellow feeling. I have to definitely recommend Durban Poison if you ever come across it.
