Big Bud Marijuana Description:

Originally an Indica hybrid crossed with Skunk 1, Big Bud came to the foreground in 1989 with a Cannabis Cup win (though, granted, the field was mostly Indica variants.)

The plant is known for being bigger than most other strains (hence the name) with large, flowery buds. It's a high producer, and it's recommended that the bottom branches be tied up because they tend to break from their own weight. Pruning is minimal, and Big Bud is likely to triple in size over its growth period. While relatively easy to cultivate it has been shown to be sensitive to insects and other pests, so indoor growing is recommended.

The flavor of Big Bud has been described as sweet and spicy with a grape undertone, though the smell of the plant is musty and dank with sour notes. The high is strong, but the onset is fairly mellow. The stone is fairly typical of indica varieties, though users recommend that it not be smoked during the day because it has near-couchlock effects.

Medical use is fairly general, with special notes on its ability to ease nausea and headaches and act as a sedative (another reason this isn't recommended as a daytime toke.) The strongest effects last 1.5 - 2 hours.

Super high could be almost scary for some. i did smoke it from this diet im on, fruit/vegi shake brakfest diet. lol three nices huge bid bud ass, also it's ever so slightly purple, with thick "ace" feel . i dnt even no im high as fuh right now. it's tatse kinda coffee maybe and blue cheese, the food not the weed.lol. great high, intense beats bubble fusk and maybe, better then master kush? def dig it .. daytime variety. flavour is lovely through a vape, more pine and citrus than grape to my tastebuds. the sample I tried could have done with going a couple weeks longer which may have altered flavour as well as potency and 'bag appeal'

I thought it was prettier than the effects for me personally it didn't do what I was expecting, Now my friends were totally gone on it. But it left me wondering what the hell? So Maybe it is just not for me.

The taste and smell was real fine, however I wasn't that impressed with how hard it hit me or how long it lasted. I felt like I was let down. While I had some feeling though it was relaxing. Yet I needed more pain help and I wanted something else.

It is a fall back for me on those days I need to keep my feet planted on the ground, it really mellows me out. I like that a lot. I needed to sleep after a long night of suffering.

Fairly mellow onset, not a very strong buzz with regards to ‘feeling it hit you.’ It does, though, seem to be an effective bud. The up-side of this bud, is that it alleviates my symptoms considerably. The down-side is that the high is a bit forgetful and distracted. While this is only a bit couch-lock-ish, I don’t know if I would use this as a daytime smoke, due to the mental state of the high. Tactile sensations do seem to be increased. Very big, light green, fairly frosty buds, with very fine light orange frosted hairs. This bud is really dank smelling, almost musty; it also has some sweet undertones, and occasionally a bit of sour wafts by. Sweet with a strong flavor of grapes. Effects lasted 1.5 – 2 hours.

Had this strain once back in september and was not to impressed. The high was very medeocker. It was very fresh and organic tasting looking and smelling bud. Good bud if you want a very faint high so that you may function at an optimum level while still being medicated.

Punch in your face high. Made my jaw and cheeks tingle. Very cerebral with a strong body buzz. After about fifteen minutes my eyes felt quite droopy.

This strain has a very earthy taste and the buds are quite hard. It delivers a moderate relaxing high that left me sitting for nearly 3 hrs.
