Cannabissearch.com Buzz Rating: A powerful but relaxing body high tingles the senses, numbing pain and nausea at the source. Basic #5 is anything but basic, in terms of medicinal use.
Basic #5 was created by carefully selecting a NL #5 male to pollinate a NL #5 female. The crossing was delicately selected over time, so as to ensure that they best two parents were chosen. The time the breeder took in this breeding shows immensely in the quality and stability of Basic #5. This backcrossing produced a strain with tight, round nugs, that are completely frosted over with resin. They have short, orange pistils and an aroma that tantalizes the nostrils, with smells of lavender, skunk and hash. Flavors are nearly identical. Basic #5 is best ingested through a vaporizer, but water filtration devices work wonders as well.
Due to the incredibly short and compact structure, coupled with a relatively low yield, we recommend vegetating Basic #5 up to 8 weeks, or possibly even longer. These ladies will only tend to double in height, by the end of flowering and should put out a larger yield than normal, when vegetated longer. This indica variety will do very well in a Sea of Green, where the yield has shown to improve considerably as well. High nutrient levels are not particularly conducive to cultivating Basic #5 and have shown to produce nute-burn in most of these plants. Gardeners would do well to limit nutrient levels to the minimum, while ensuring the soil is rich in natural nutrients, such as guano and emulsion. Mycorrhizal organisms always prove beneficial to this strain, as they can keep nutrients flowing into the plant, without causing nute-burn. Look for this strain to be ready for harvest by the beginning of October, when cultivated outdoors. Indoors, they will be ready after around 8 or 9 weeks of flowering.
