I had some of this back in the 70's it was off the hook high grade.

When i smoked this, it was before school. I didnt see what was in the pipe and i thought it was some low grade stuff like reggie. I took 2 hits and quit cuz it was before school.i started feeling higher, and higher and higher as time went by. I said to my friend "... What was that!?" He looked at me with a proud face ad said " this is some apocaluco gold!" I was shocked cuz thats real hard to come by were i live. I started walking back to school and it felt like everything was moving towards me, instead of me walking. Carrying my backpack felt like it was moving realy slow. It was hard to handle at first, but then it calmed down. It was pretty good. I highly reccomend this strain.

Thats a great review Guest, on March 2, 2011. Funnay as hell about the lady in line behind u while u had the munchies. But I hate to disappoint... Acapulco Gold is not an Indica. It is an original Mexican Strain found growing naturally in the Acapulco Region of Mexico. This breed of Cannabis has some of the highest THC content on the market even to this date ranging from 20-24% THC. It is a rare 100% Sativa Breed. If you ever get a chance to grab some seeds of this legendary strain, do not pass it up. Taste is also amazing.

What can I say, I love the gold. It does indeed have a gold tint to it. A wonderful flower taste and smell, with some exotic smells as well. A powerful high that will leave you plesently pleased. Go be a treasure hunter today and find this gold!

I agree with the other reviews:

Potent, but rather short in duration.
Good cerebral high with a sleepy comedown.
Great floral smell and spicy taste when smoked.

Sativas are not really my personal favorites, they just don't seem to work as well on my pain as an indica. I do like the feeling of relief for anxiety that this particular sativa offers.

Alcapulco Gold is old school strain, and is gold value when you smoke it!
I got some alcapulco gold from a delivery service in Temecula, it was a bit pricey, $60 an eigth, but it was so dense and neon green with golden hairs. The smoke was nice and even, and not at all harsh but thickness in you're throat.

Very nice to the eye, Pale green with a hue of yellow , Orange hairs both light and dark are present, looks like a orange and gold nugget, with patchy crystals. Very mild as a whole nugget with hints of saffron and butter scotch. Wow can we say spicy, this bud has a tone of spice to it with nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger being the strongest. Very smooth . Are very nice and immediate, you get very relaxed, and a little heavy eyed, (not for the rooks)I found that I did not feel a lot of pain I also feel this is great for spasm, and any one who needs to get some sleep.

The bud called Acapulco Gold looks really
interesting and taste very good sadly though
it doesn't last very long what so ever. It also
has a kinda funky smell about it.

I've smoked a long time, have partaken of the original from way back. Without the gold coloring it's not real gold. What I just had, brought back memories of my youth. Everyone should give it go. Popular not, popular then. Some things just never get old. Price okay.

so this morning i picked up a jar labeled "acapulco gold" hands down it's some cronic. similar to the pic but not quite... mines is greener so cristalie its got a yellowish hue to it, def have to keep it sealed in an airtight container cuz it smells something awful, cant take it no where, i was standing in line at the supermarket(had the super munchies) and this lady behind me was just shaking her head. neway this in my opinion is a x breed or something, its def indica i get it from a local grower who im sure wouldnt b.s. me on what strain it is any way this harvest was potent. def one of my favorites besides the Wonder Woman.

Acapulco Gold has been around for a long time because it has retained it's popularity over the years. Now a classic, this popular Sativa is known for it's greenish gold resiney buds that produce a nice heavy potent high. Kinda rare these days and not found at very many locations, so if you do find it on the menu I suggest you try a sample!
