almost there guys cmon keep pushin...i believe mmj will solve ALOT of problems in the longhull, i already made my vote as well as getting my friends to vote lol. if we all here at cannabissearch.com just go ahead and vote we should have the legalization in no time!
As they should be, if not more. Not to say that alcohol should be illegal, but I've argued the point enough I won't go into detail again. If anything should be illegal it's alcohol. Potheads don't get violent and beat up their spouses or kill people driving, or any other horrible thing associated with alcohol.
I agree with you CannaConnoisseur, if they justify cannabis being illegal because it is a danger to society, then alcohol should be illegal as well. All we can hope for is that it will finally be put to vote nation-wide. The problem with approval ratings is that it doesn't always reflect voter turn-out. When the issue does come to ballot, we need to urge everyone in support of the legalization of cannabis to get out and vote! They state that people under 30 are more likely to support the legalization of cannabis, but how likely are those same people to vote on or by election day? When Proposition 19 came out in CA, I urged all of my friends to vote but I could tell that a lot of them wouldn't, and some didn't register in time because they moved counties, etc. I think with a bigger voter turnout cannabis could finally push through all this legislative red tape and be made legal for adults.
If the world would only realize that is 50% of the people who have taken the time to be on a poll or have voted. I know so many that I keep trying to get to vote that keep telling themselves that their vote doesn't matter. I need help to keep spreading the word that every voice counts. If we just sit back then it will never change. I hope that if enough of us stand tall and make a statement that even in the so-called bible belt will eventually take notice that MMJ is medicine that more of us need. I'd rather live in a stoned world than a drunk one.
Shit how much more do they want? That's 50% of the people who voted can you imagine how much it would be if all the smokers got together and actually voted? Wow.
The thing is, that I don't believe that all of the voters who would have supported Prop. 19 actually voted. Maybe some of them were not even registered to vote yet. I think that if they were then Prop 19. would have passed for sure. Let's take the time to remind all of our friends and fellow patients how important it is that they register and pay attention to when something related comes up in the ballot.
Definitely agree Chief, if people want a change then we need to do our part to make that happen. Also, in California, there are a lot of street weed dealers who likely voted against Prop. 19 in hopes that they wouldn't be run out of business. It's bullshit if you ask me.
I believe it; I also don't doubt that there are more people out there that do support marijuana but just can't admit it because of the their position in their career or being funded by bigger companies that are against marijuana legalization but afraid/risk of losing their fundings or whatever their reason may be. Plus, there are people out their who didn't register on time to vote for Prop. 19 or the ones who choose not to vote; and these are the people that can make it legal just by stepping up... It is only a matter of time people, lets help move others forward with making this benefit LEGAL
Cool, I feel that it is much like totally higher(ha,ha) than that, I mean most of the people I know agree on the legalization. Hopefully it will reach where way more are voting so that those of us who need it can live in a safer freer world.
Yes, if we all get together and make it a priority it will be legalized...by the people, for the people. As a lot of others mentioned it will just take more effort and we can help to encourage everyone we know to get out and vote or whatever else we need to do. Anyway it's good to know our numbers are rising and we are being heard.
I think this is all true because the younger people are starting to vote more. I also think it is working because the older peole realize they could tax it.
I don't know if they way they had the laws wrote last time were the best for everyone but I really do believe that if they made cannabis legal, it would let police forces focus on much more severe crimes involving other drugs. If cannabis is legalized, I believe that rules need to be followed for it to work just like alcohol. It is still a drug that makes you feel high, and driving or working still would not be a wise choice. Although people these days work on a cocktail of prescription drugs that aren't "illegal". I personally work everyday of my life while medicated because my body aches to bad to not be medicated, this doesn't affect how I work. If legalization were to happen, it might also affect the amount of people able to purchase marijuana. It might be easier for children to purchase but in honesty, buying marijuana isn't what is stopping people from using it. Legalization is the first step towards the US growing up and letting the people do what they want.
America is not run off of the guidelines of the constitution anymore.
