Again, great news for the people of Montana. Hopefully with the revisions they can put an end to illegal activity and still provide for the patients and their needs. It is great to know that the governor understands that just because people are operating outside of the legal spectrum doesn't mean that the whole program should be shut down.
It is politicians like Gov. Schweitzer that we need to keep electing into office, as mention above, ones that still believes in Americans fight for justice, and one that still believes in serving the American people rather than serving their own purpose.
These voters against the operating dispensaries wanted to argue how the amount of dispensaries carried out of control is just ridiculous, because they should first being going after the liquor stores operating within 300ft (allowed closer than dispensaries) of schools, youth centers, parks, and churches etc. Even with alcohol regulations under aged minors are still finding ways to get alcohol, cigarettes and prescription pills, which are the ones really putting hole in the number of deaths each year; why aren't they speaking up about these other abused substances... where is the movement to push these substances out of the community...
Great posts by both of you guys, which I wholeheartedly agree with. As of yet, cannabis has not shown itself to be particularly dangerous in comparison to nicotine, alcohol and heavy-duty prescription drugs.
Good deal, finally we hear a story of the government doing something for the medical patient. Instead of taking health care away, this is a plus for our community of patients. Keep up the fight, so someday it is wide spread across the country and you will be able to go about your life from state to state without worry of taking your med with you or not. Yeah.
What a shining example Gov. Schweltzer is to the political scene. I admire and respect his decision to uphold the voters choice. This is what the people voted for and this is what the people shall receive, it's as simple as that. I agree we need to have more people in office who listen to the people's needs and not their own agenda.
