Funny how cities will let liquor stores and bars sell alcohol every block but dont let marijuana clubs open.
Alcohol kills 22,000 people per year... (http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/alcohol-kills-22000-a-year-424008.html)
Just to show you how utterly ridiculous peoples thinking and reasoning against MM is, here are a few, COLD, HARD FACTS!
How can alcohol be blamed for 100,000 deaths each year?
5% of all deaths from diseases of the circulatory system are attributed to alcohol.
15% of all deaths from diseases of the respiratory system are attributed to alcohol.
30% of all deaths from accidents caused by fire and flames are attributed to alcohol.
30% of all accidental drownings are attributed to alcohol.
30% of all suicides are attributed to alcohol.
40% of all deaths due to accidental falls are attributed to alcohol.
45% of all deaths in automobile accidents are attributed to alcohol.
60% of all homicides are attributed to alcohol.

100,000 deaths. That's more than a statistic. That is 100,000 individuals with faces. 100,000 individuals with lives not fully lived. 100,000 individuals grieved by mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, and children. Every year.
The dispensary that I worked at was forced to move from Midway City because of a similar ban. It is so unfair how these little ordinances are allowed to trump state laws. We voted in CA to legalize medical cannabis in 1995. What makes these cities feel that they have the right to reverse that decision?
Prohibition. When is the world going to see it doesn't work? All the dry counties over the years that only forced you to drive to another county to get booze. Which economically is ridiculous for any county. Sending money away to another city. Even though the dispensaries are non profit, there is money spent on gas and other things, because they will do more shopping other places when they have to drive to a dispensary. Let alone all the people who will have to do without because they can't get to a dispensary. This is really sad.
All of the comments were right on point and thanks for posting the stats as well. Los Gatos is just another example of a city that allowed the dispensaries. The owners and anyone connected invests an outragous amount of money and time to get these places up and running, then are allowed to arbitrarily close them down. This is piracy. All of the clinics owners and employees across the nation should start suing. It cannot be legal to keep intentionally letting people set up shop just to arrest them and close them down a few months later. It's true maddness. Why is Everybody So F**CKIN' STUPID???!!??
