A lot of dispensaries offer incentives for first-time customers. What was the best offer you have gotten for trying a new place?

I think that the best free gift I got for being a first-time patient was a 6 inch mini bong from a dispensary in Irvine. I had that thing for three years until it broke on the bathroom counter. I was so sad to see it go because it gave such powerful hits for something so small.

Free gram of Banana Kush bubble melt hash that was pretty high in potency.

Oh that is a good one! I have never gotten hash as a free gift, let alone a whole gram of it! You live up in Norcal, right? I have always wondered if the dispensaries up there give better gifts...

Some do give pretty generous gifts, but others can be somewhat stingy... I suppose it just depends where you go. I've also been to ones that don't do a free gift at all. Like I said, each place is different. Usually it's something like a free gram of bud or a pipe or something.

I used to get free pipes all the time two years ago, but now it's pretty much a free gram or joint, if anything. I have been to a lot of places that don't give anything. Once in a while a place has 5g/eighths. I suppose it is a sign that business is booming, since places fell that they don't need an incentive to get people to go anymore.

Yeah you're probably right... there will always be a market for marijuana.

The best free gifts I got was at a place that gave you two gifts, one was a premium pre-roll and the other was a glass pipe that I still have today. I don't think it's good for business when they don't give you a cool gift because there's so much competition they should treat you special so you'll come back and tell your friends.

I agree, I always remember where the places are that have good deals or a great first time gift, and I forget even going to the places that I feel are stingy. And I always tell my friends about a good freebie so it is a good form of advertisement.

You guys are missing the good spots, some places actually give u free eigths and it is not crap weed either. But the best i ever got was when i went camping in santa barbra i stopped at a collective where they gave me a fat ball of dank hash that had to weight two grams because it lasted me all weekend.

Man we are missing out, tell me where that Santa Barbara place is. I have never gotten a free eighth from anywhere besides the dispensary I used to work at. That would be a nice gift.

The best deal I ever got was a free gram, a pipe and a grinder. I agree it's a good idea to give some credible free gifts because you'll be more apt to tell your friends. I agree with lindzzz that I won't go back to the stingy places either and will tell others to avoid it also. Seems like common sense to make the customer happy for loyalty and referrals.

This new place I went to in Costa Mesa gave a free joint, brownie and a gram. It's called Marijuana County Collective, on Redhill and Bristol in Costa Mesa. Nice place and they have a $40 cap for their top shelf.

Nice, Diamond Tree gives a free gram of bubble hash to first-time patients up here in Oregon.

I got a delivery the other day and I was sent two free cookies and a free gram of kief. It was kind of low grade, but still it's nice to get something. I have been turning to deliveries more and more as places keep closing down.

Yeah that's definitely too bad about the clubs shutting down. Especially since California used to be the most liberal state, when it came to medical marijuana. Now I think Colorado probably is.

Have you been seeing any actions taken in Oregon regarding too many clubs in cities? I am always interested in the program in other states, and if they have the same overcrowding issues like we have on Los Angeles and San Jose before they shut the majority down. I know you posted a pretty nice deal on here before from an Oregon clinic.

This sativa cake brownie covered with hard shell chocolate that looked like a lollipop at Doctors Co-op in Sacramento. It was awesome.

Things are weird here in Michigan. We aren't overcrowded with dispensaries. I have yet to get a free gift at any I have been to. Unless you count the t-shirt I got after I paid a $20 membership fee at a local compassion club. MMJ is getting a lot of resistance in some counties and or cities. I happen to live in the most laid back county as it pertains to being accepted. Law enforcement say they are taking a hands off approach with the mmj because there are far greater issues such as heroine, crack, meth, and prescription drugs. There are always rumors the feds are going to close them down, but nothing has happened yet. Its always going to be a back and forth battle between the sides until people drop their Reefer Madness mentality towards marijuana. The government says it has no medicinal properties, yet they hold the patent for its medicinal use? Bottom line is, they make too much money off it being illegal, and the drug companies would lose money not being able to regulate it. And once people quit using the manufactured drugs they will lose even more money. I bet if all the U.S. dispensaries teamed up and formed a lobbyist group that greased politicians pockets and campaigns like big oil and pharmaceutical companies do, it would be a whole different story.

Sounds so good! Cake pops are becoming more popular in bakeries so it makes sense that people who make edibles are picking up that trend.
