It's where you literally pinch a branch(es) of an plant in the first week of flowering until you hear the inner pholem break (I know, this sounds awful to do to your plants) and it will be pretty much horizontal. It will heal soon and create a stronger branch with bigger buds, but the branch will not grow much more in length. I've never tried it myself, but have seen friends do it with some success (although I'm not totally convinced it increases the yield to0 much more). It essentially creates a much more short and bushy plant as well, depending on how many branches you do it to.

I see, that method may be useful for the wooden box because of the space. It seems to me that these methods don't really have a huge effect on the yield, and I think that the plants are predestined to output a certain amount. Topping and supercropping, as I am coming to understand, are methods that change where the buds are concentrated on the plant. If you do try it I would be interested in hearing of your results.

Day 36. I can't believe how huge these buds are getting. Some are as long as my index finger and 3 times that diameter with still about 3 weeks to go. I knew they were going to be huge chunky buds bud this is pretty crazy.

Nice work, CannaConnoiseur!! Buds are forming nicely (chunky is right) and is real frosty.
Thanks for the continued update; enjoying the view from here.

Checked the trichromes today and they're 50% amber, so flushing will be started, as I prefer to pull around 80% amber trichs. Surprisingly it should be ready at the 7 - 8 weeks the breeder recommends, right at 49 days. This is the shortest flowering strain I've yet grown, so we'll have to see on the potency after harvest.

Had to provide stake support for two of the side colas today because they were on the verge of breaking from bud weight.

Trichromes are roughly 60% amber and 40% milky with no clear trichs. Plan on harvesting in about 5 or 6 days, but I'll continue to check the trichromes. Buds have been swelling every day.

Harvesting tomorrow. Trichromes are between 60 and 75% amber. This is after 10 days of flushing with distilled water only.

Some of the drying product. It's somewhat airy but still potent, despite the brief flowering time of this bud.

Supercropping is also called Low-Stress-Training
http://www.cannabiss...ng/gardens/lst/
This is good to keep your plants short and to allow light to penetrate the center of the canopy. CannabisSearch has a good article on Supercropping, I will be doing this to some of my plants in a few days.
