You raise some good points. There are a lot of ads running in the Sacramento area warning that the doc you choose may or may not be legit, so there must be some moxy behind the fake doc problem. Just do a little research. I've read articles regarding offices that set up but don't actually have a doc on sight and just stamp signatures. There is a protocol for the process that I believe requires a real doc doing a real exam.getting your card is very simple now a days you just have to watch out for the fakes out there. when i first got my card about 3 years ago i paid 150 for it. my buddy 3 days later calls me and tells me hes going to get his card and only paying 40 i laughed and sayed have fun with that fake card. he says naw there legit 2 days after getting it a club goes to verify him website is gone phone line is disconected and the doctor isnt even in the phone book hahaha. so yea you might be getting a great deal on the price but research the doctor you go to before you just walk in and think everything is stright forward. because there are those scum bags who want to make it a little harder for us to get our meds and take our money and time.

That is shocking, I have never heard of fake referrals before. My first license cost me $160 in Venice Beach, and my most recent one was $60 in Santa Ana. The doctor I went to in Santa Ana was more professional than the one in Venice Beach. The one from VB seemed really jaded; he didn't care about my ailments or reasons, only if I had paid at the desk. The doctor in Santa Ana was so much nicer and took the time to sit down with me and tell me to use a vaporizer or edibles because that is the healthiest way, etc.. So I would say that price isn't always an indicator of quality, but I am from Southern CA and I haven't heard of any scams like that in this particular area.

My Doctor was really more of a no nonsense kind of guy he really wanted to know how it helped me and liked the fact that I was able to get off the hard core narcotics that the other doctors were keeping me doped up on. I think if you find a doc that really cares it doesn't matter how much or how little he costs as long as he is doing it for the benefit of patients not the benefit for his pocket book.
I completely agree, it is the same for a doctor in any field of medicine. You can tell who cares about people and who doesn't. I was pretty unhappy with my experience in Venice Beach, so I decided to try another doctor. I think a lot of times people feel that they have to just deal with incompetent doctors, I think because we are so used to having to go where the insurance tells you. It is nice that for your medical cannabis recommendation, you can pretty much go where you want to and you don't have to go back to someone that you weren't happy with.

My first one i got was 150, my other renewels since have been 35. In anahiem, it a great deal if ur trying ton save money.
Do they have 24 hr verification services at the place you renewed at? That's even less than the place I went to and it's always a good idea trying to save money, especially as a college student... Fitting into the poor student stereotype...

Getting my card was so easy it felt really weird. But I wish that my regular doctor was as kind and caring as the doctor who gave me my evaluation, he was far more concerned with seeing that I got real help. Instead of being just drug pushers.
And the sad thing is that people who don't smoke weed think that the doctors who give us our licenses are drug pushers, when really it's the other way around!
