I voted for LST. I have done several experiments (with Chem-4 and also Super Sour Flower) where I topped one and LST'd the other. The LST always gave me a higher yield. With that said, I'm all in favor of combining LST and topping. All other variables (i.e. soil, nutes, pH, etc.) were the same on each of the plants. I never conducted experiments to see if a combination of LST/topping produces more than just LST though, but I'm pretty sure it does, just from what I got for harvests whenever I combined the two.
I used to live in a room full of mirrors; all I could see was me. I take my spirit and I crash my mirrors, now the whole world is here for me to see.

Just finishing up my first indoor grow. 3 plants in an earthbox. Using LED's. Topped center plant, LSTed the 2 end plants. The topped plant reacted faster, started sending two branches/buds from all nodes running verticle sooner than the others, but that could also be because it gets a little better light exposure.

That's probably what's happening in all likelihood... not to rag on your style of growing.... I'm just partial to LST.

You are "partial". OK, but what I've found since I've been on this site is people offer opinions, but very little science or evidence to support their opinions. Have you tried an LST and a croppped side by side? Or done both seperately and timed and weighed the results? What evidence or experience do you have to support your preference?

I did two Chem-4 plants under exact same conditions, except for the fact of LST'ing one and topping the other. That was all I was saying was that for me, personally, a combination of the two if preferable.
