What's your opinion? For me, I'm one of those people that used to prefer joints because it affects the flavor of the bud less, but lately (the last 3 or 4 months) I've really come to prefer blunts. Joints just don't properly medicate me anymore it seems. Plus sitting in a comfortable chair puffing on a nice fat blunt is a great way to relax.

What is the difference between a joint and a blunt, is a blunt just bigger?

A blunt where I live is considered gutting any cigar (i.e. Swisher, Phillie, etc), and rolling ground cannabis buds up in the leaf.

Neither, I use bongs but if I were to, then a joint because I prefer not to use swishers.

How much weed goes in a blunt I know a decent joint is almost 1 gram?

I usually put between 1.25 and 1.5 in a blunt. I agree with Chief though, bongs are definitely my apparatus of choice.

Yeah I find that if I'm going to roll a joint, a rice paper is definitely the way to go. They're a little sweeter and less harsh than a typical paper like a Zig-Zag or TOP.

The answer to this question to me, is determined by two things. These are the quality of the bud and the amount of people smoking with you. For example I would perfer a blunt if I were smoking poor quality bud or have more than one person smoking with me. So then I would use a paper in cases of good bud quality which has nice taste to it and it is only myself or one other smoking with me.

True. Definitely a matter of personal preference. I do agree with you that joints affect the flavor of quality bud less. However, some Chemdawg #4 in a white grape blunt is quite tasty. It also depends on the brand of blunts you get. If I smoke joints, it's usually a rice paper but if not then Zig Zag.

Yeah I like it but honestly my favorite thing about any vaporizer (including the Volcano) is the flavor you get from the bud. That's it though. I find that I get much more medicated from smoking out of a bong, pipe or blunt than I do from a vaporizer. This isn't to say however that a nice vape bowl doesn't get me high, it's just that the same amount of bud would serve me, personally, much better being smoked.

As far as vaporizers though the Volcano is definitely one of the best.

I agree with CannaConnoisseur, I like vaporizers but find them to be ineffective for medicating. For me, the most effective way to medicate is still and probably always will be with a bong - oh wait, I mean water pipe ;) I'm honestly not a fan of blunts or joints, I feel they waste medication..

I have tried a few vaporizers and only the volcano worked for me, the reason is it heats up to 400 degrees or more. It gets you very medicated after a few bags.

Big fat joints over blunts :D

Personal recommendation is a white grape bluntwrap with Chemdog-4.

I agree with most of the other replies. I grew up smoking using papers and the only downside for me is that they make your fingers smell so you gotta wash up or it's a bust. Blunts are fun in groups or for the lesser grade strains unless you find a blunt wrap that actually compliments the bud flavor as somebody else mentioned. Like to take the nice flavors in a joint, vaporizer or waterpipe.

I mostly smoke top shelf strains so I prefer to get the full pure taste by rolling a joint on unflavored papers. Blunts use up a lot more weed than joints so I only go that route when sharing with more than 2 people or during a party situation. Sometimes the blunt wrap can be overbearing and overpowers the taste and aroma of the buds. I think joints taste a lot cleaner.

I don't use either. All that grinding and handling just destroys trichomes. I use a clean glass pipe, wth matches or magnifying glass when possible, or a nice bong when sitting in the easy chair.
