About the Event

Hempstalk is a two day festival dedicated to bringing together hemp enthusiasts and those who support full-scale legalization of medical cannabis. According to Paul Stanford, founder and presenting sponsor of the event, "Hempstalk is about the many uses of agricultural hemp fiber, oil, protein, fuel and medicine. We are working to end adult cannabis prohibition, allow adults to grow their own and license the legal sale of psychoactive cannabis to adults. We believe that hemp will save the Earth's biosphere with the adoption of hemp seed for bio-diesel fuel, which will solve the energy and world hunger problems, and stop deforestation when hemp fiber is used for paper and building materials. We support the Oregon Cannabis Tax Act of 2012 to implement this. We shall overcome!"

This festival boasts educational and recreational attractions, ranging from featured speakers and educational seminars in hemp use to food and craft booths featuring many local, sustainable products. Hempstalk is about getting the word out that cannabis is illegal because of outdated industries and purely economic reasons. If these large companies did not stand to lose billions, cannabis would have been legalized long ago. If you live in Oregon you should attend this rally for patient rights, and give your support to the community.
