They have some good deals here if you don't want top shelf. They have a pretty good selection of menu choices. The place is not known for it's ambience but if you're in a pinch this place will suffice.

The waiting room was pretty small, just enough room for some chairs and a Christmas Tree in the corner. The receptionist behind the window was real friendly, and got us both verified real quick. The budroom was bigger and set up pretty nice, with the standard glass counter, menu and jars for the meds. I was dissappointed to find that they were currently awaiting their concentrate shipment, so i didnt end up buying anything. I did chech their meds though and found them to be quality. The True O.G and Lambs Bread both looked prime, but prices were high. I mean the top shelf OZ didn't cap until $380. Also the Blown Cone that my friend got wasn't that great. It was supposed to be some sort of Upstate Indica but tasted more like some Snowcap, a Sativa. That didn't suprise me though since i usually hate pre rolls, but $15 is kind of pricey.

I'm an L.A. local and have been here my entire life. Since the 1990's there have been a slew of undocumented weed spots, mostly in the back room of hair salons and what not. In any event, Melrose Herbal Pharmacy most likely was spawned off of one of these outdated pre-legal back room spots. If you're looking for a true wellness center focused and engineered around compassionate needs of patients, you can keep looking. There isn't too much that is convenient about this place. The parking sucks and the building is not easy to kind nor is it comfortable. For all intensive purposes, it is simply a weed spot with a license. On the price side, you can find some good deals like $10 or $15 grams which can come in handy when you're out on a shopping or kicking it day in Melrose, or if you're out clubbing. However, the staff are friendly but not necessarily on top of their business or reliable. I've visited before and waited outside for a long time while buzzing the buzzer. If you do end up browsing their selection of Indicas , Sativas and Hybrids with items like God's Gift and Skywalker, you just may end up with a gram or freebie of some Keef. It all depends on the type of donation you produce. I'd go here in a pinch and on a day out on the strip, otherwise, bide your time and find the greatest deal, there are literally hundreds of spots here.

MHP is a dispensary that likes to stay more underground and unnoticed. My MMJ doctor works right up the street so I decided to check them out after I was getting a renewal. They do have their own spaces in the alley behind the building where they allow patients to park. The first time I attempted to find it, I quit after 15 minutes of frustration trying to find the buzzer. I looked all up and down the block and Melrose and because very agitated when I couldnt find any clue as to where MHP was. So dont be so annoyed if you cant find the entrance at first. My impression is they get a high out of being hard to find and ripping off patients with high donation prices. The door is hard to find, but its underneath this big garage thats open. The door above it has MHP over the top. Once youre buzzed in, you take the stairs up to their waiting room. Its a little sketchy getting in, but the sketchiness goes away once you see a clean and trendy waiting room as well as bud room. The bud room is very compact with a simple display case and whiteboard with the menu. Personally, I was turned off by this club once I took a look at their donation prices. Their donations range from $15-$30 per gram!!, and 1/8ths ranged from $45-$85!! They carry around 20 different types of buds, low-quality hash, and a few edibles like drinks from 215 bottling company, grand daddy purple berry lollipops, and treats from chronic candies. When I joined last summer, they did not offer me any first time discount. The bud tender looked at me as if I was from another planet when I asked that. She did say that they do allow certain patients to use their private smoking lounge. No thanks, I can enjoy a $50 1/8th of top shelf on my private balcony viewing Beverly Hills, while you charge $75+ on 1/8ths and can sleep at night. Theres better in the area.
