I love the late night into a.m. hours and the hash bar above La Brea Collective. As with most places in the area it's pretty crowded just about all of the time so it may take a while to find parking. They have a good selection of top quality strains at decent prices. New members can get a 5 gram 1/8th and discounts are offered to seniors and vets as well.

The draw of the La Brea Collective is it's upstair Hash bar. There is a lounge with a TV set up for video games, and a volcano on every table. You can order at the bar by the bowl, and the selection of hash tends to be ride ranging. The dispensary downstairs is less impressive. You will find moderate price/quality buds, run of the mill edibles. The service can vary. The vibe is a little bit seedy, definitely a place for the young seeking a good time as opposed to those looking for a more respectful, healing oriented environment. Parking is about impossible.

La Brea is an alright area, not the best or worst place I've seen for a medicinal center. Parking sucks everywhere around the area though. Top shelf strains are readily available here for matching top shelf prices. Discounts are relatively scarce for whatever reason. The place is for sure a run of the mill dispensary ready to get paid. I wouldn't say health or healing is the focus for the staff of this establishment. This type of place expects tips for bud tenders, but what kind of doctor or pharmacist asks for or would ever expect a tip or feel like they are doing you a huge service. The strains are like typical good stuff: Headband, Green Crack ( meh, not so good), Chocoloupe, and more. Aside from quality flowers, they have hash wax, concentrates and edibles which you can sample for a small price per each shot in their hookah-bong-smoke lounge. To me, this type of atmosphere is truly unprofessional and takes away from the legitimacy of the medical aspect of the place. When patients are sick, they usually don't want to hang out and get twisted off of pain relieving meds together, but that's just my take. First timers here can get five gram eighths with purchase and a free gram with an eighth purchase. Discounts, as always are always reserved for vets, seniors, handicap and terminally ill patients

I have been going to La Brea Collective for some time now. It's probably best known for it's hash bar, because it is one of the best in LA. The two story collective has it's own reserved parking lot with 3-4 spaces given to them. The first floor has all the flowers, edibles, pipes, papers, and accessories. The second floor is the hash bar and lounge, and boy what a lounge it is. There are tables and barstools galore for patients to roll their own or borrow one of the many pieces they have behind to borrow, then they allow patients to sample their goodies purchased from their first floor and also try their many hashes from the bar. Their hash selection is amazing and there are lots to choose from. Best by far, Earwax. If you have any questions, the budtenders are very knowledgeable and happy to walk you through any questions you have about any concentrate. They always have a wide consistent array of your standard top brand strains and also have some of the largest varieties of OG in town.
