Topical Balm

First get out a large pot and place the 4 oz. of marijuana trimmings in it. Fill with enough water to completely cover the trimmings, next adding the 1.25 cups of olive oil. Bring the mixture to a boil. Once it comes to a boil, turn down to low and ensure that it stays at a fairly constant simmer for 6 hours. You will need to add water as some evaporates. After 6 hours, remove from the heat and allow to cool. Once it has cooled for around 4 or 5 minutes, strain the mixture through a cheesecloth. Save the liquid that comes through in a separate container. Place this container overnight (or at least 8 hours) in the refrigerator. After 8 hours there should be a layer of congealed olive oil/cannabis mixture on top. Peel this off and place in a small pot on low heat to slowly melt. Now add between 1 and 1.5 oz. beeswax to the pot. The amount will vary depending on desired consistency. Once the wax and oil have melted, stir together, remove from heat and allow to cool in a glass mason jar. Store in the refrigerator and rub on affected arthritis areas.
