Media Monday: NORML Moms

Yesterday was Mother’s Day in the US. Tomorrow is Mother’s Day in Mexico. In honor of mothers here in North America, and around the world, we’re taking a moment to put some more faces on the fight for the use of marijuana, medicinally, and otherwise.

This video, from NORML, is about NORML Moms:

I think that this video is a great example of people from all walks of life supporting medical cannabis use. This isn’t just a movement of the youth. It’s everyone.

I love that this is a point of view from a group who is not your typical Pot Head type of people but mothers. Seriously it shows that things are changing, hopefully we can move farther ahead to a day when it is a common form of treatment for anyone with a problem that needs real medicine

I am always glad when I see the people who are so not pot heads take a stand for the rights of marijuana. this is awesome. If we can only get those other closet smokers to sto being ashamed of the fact that they are getting relief from something that they feel is not legal. If a child, an elderly person, a terminal patient or anyone can get relief let them have it.

This is a great video! I love that these moms and families are openly honest with their children about medical marijuana, this will teach them to make a responsible decision when facing peer pressure, and as they get older they can trust that their parents will tell them the truth when the asked. Besides you can feel better telling your child that you are stepping into the other room to medicate, rather than having to hide away and scared that you kid will walk in on you medicating and feel like your 17yrs old again trying sneak around your parents.

I know many mothers, sisters, aunts and grandmothers who use MMJ for one reason or another. I agree with the other comments that this puts a new face on cannabis patients and pro cannabis users. I think many people think of Cheech & Chong or other pop culture characters who are related to marijuana use. It’s not just for the young generation, but can be enjoyed in the golden years as well.
